Pura Vida! We've recently returned from a beautiful family vacation at the Arenal Volcano! It was so amazing, and we chatted about how we feel everyone should be able to have the freedom to live in the way they want to - whether it's having a home in the tropics, skiing in the mountains, or sunbathing in the desert :-)
When Ka's doing something like running one of his free webinars - or posts a YouTube video, we always love seeing so many amazingly positive comments from people who have taken information or ideas away and feel like they want to share their own personal stories or give thanks, which is so awesome, but we also very occasionally get people who simply feel the need to be nasty, and post negative comments - it's not cool for sure, but also I don't think those people realize how what they're doing isn't helpful for them either, or anyone for that matter... Especially if we follow the policy to treat others how we would want to be treated, or taking that a step further - how we treat ourselves...
Have you ever said, "I'm going to start this on Monday" or "I can't do that right now, but when the circumstances are right - I'll do it" - you must have said something along these lines at least once, right? Well, I want to make a crazy suggestion to you - rather than wait another day, why not make plans to live the life you've always wanted, today? You don't have to make any drastic changes immediately, just start by engaging your imagination and thinking about all the cool things you could do, be or have in your life.
Hey guys, I thought I share something with you today about a topic which is very close to my heart, and to Ka's - it's happiness. I know what it's like to want more of it in my life, and I know what it's like to feel like I could never be happier.
At some point in your life you've probably heard it said that ideas are a dime a dozen. As you know ideas are simply thoughts, even if written down, until you decide to actually give them your attention and put them into action. As follows then, knowing precisely how to take the initial idea to a full-fledged reality is the key to being successful.
One of the lessons we learned very early on, is that sometimes in life you have to take risks and just trust in blind faith that the universe has your
back and will come through for you. You also need a great deal of determination, a clear and present focus on your goals and desires and be willing
to take the actions required to achieve them.
In 2014 I did a talk for “Awesomeness Fest” held by MindValley where I shared my story of how we ended up here in Costa Rica as location independents - you can check out that video below…
Living in a consumerist society often leads to living a life that's packed with stuff, from overstuffed closets to over filled junk drawers and stacked storage bins. Finding a path in life that's personally fulfilling really requires looking at your life more objectively and cutting away the things that aren't necessary, while actively looking to experience so much more of what life has to offer. Far too often, our possessions actually hold us back and limit our possibilities.
Here we are, 2016. I wanted to post this a little later in the year, because in January everyone is talking about their goals and we’re all really motivated, but nobody ever really brings them up later on in the year to remain accountable, often times, because nothing has really happened with them. It’s not too late!
